final image of shark

oringal image of shark

final piece what i did and screen shots

What i did was use the paint brush tool to make lots of colours and lines so that so I have allot of colours to swirl.  Then i used the curves tool to make it really high contrast so that it sticks out then i change the RGB curves to make the colours stand out so I can work with then easier. Then i took the smuge tool and started to  move and swirl then into a moving shape then I used the liquefy tool and then i used the swirl tool to make them more 3d so that the block colour turned into swirly lines witch made the shark look like it was moving though the water. Then I took the blur tool and started to make it look like it was made that way and less pixelated around the edges also to make him blend in to the background more so you have to look to see where he ends and the sea begins and then I cut out the background and added my own made with a slight gradent from dark blue to black and the start to use the brush tool with black and made more lines of block colour and then i used the liquify tool to make them in to swirls so that it looks like the shark is actually moving the water around it. Then I used the smudge tool again to finish them of. then I tool the brush tool for the last time and started to paint on highlights and midtones to the lines so that it has more contrast so it stands out a little more and then I blurred and smudged them in to piece to make the final image.

typeorgrathy

in this demo we used the type faces sans serif and script to make the text at the bottom of the screen then i used the contrast curves to make the image have a really high contrast so it stands out and then i used the mask tool to make the eye not under the curves and then i used the hue and saturation tool to make it green and the colourise option to change the colour of the selection.

what i purpose to do

My design ideas

My main idea is to have a woman impaled on a spike under the water which has blood pouring out spelling the word life and the a fish taking in the blood and the out of its gills blood spelling death to resemble life and death and the death feeding the life of the fish.
My second idea is to make a light house under water which is ruined with the light still shining and a person’s shadow in the window and the sea monsters swimming around it being attracted to the light.
my last idea is to make a thing that looks like it is moveing though the water and blurs though it making light as it moves with high contrasts witch match the colour of the sea.

hippo final

hippo demo

today we did a demo where we put a hippo head on a lizard to make a funny looking thing in this demo we used masks to make the image blend and get rid of the lizard we also used levels and colour balance to make the image match in colour match in both the pictures and then i used the contrast tool to make the lizard more contrasted so it looked better.

idea generation

image types

the image types i will use are bitmaps witch are done with pixles and reads the lines of pixles individually and are pixlated and vector image witch dosnt pixleat becouse the image is made by a math sum and it knows that it is a shape the vector images are smaller file size than bitmap.

dpi

dots per inch is the number of dots you have per inch when printed the higher the counter the better the image but the higher the file size the human eye can only see 300 dpi and see the dots the higher the amount the more ram you need to do things at speed the resolution that the monitors can handle are only 72 dpi so you don't have to make images any higher and that can save on file space.

underwater Research 3

this image of a girl falling is what i wont to convay in my image i wont it to look like she has fallen on to a spike and has stoped at that moment and frozen in time to show the story of the picture and to let your imgination rome free and think of what happons next. the good points about this are it makes you think of what could happon and what might have happond and it is a moment in time where it dosnt move mut you make her fall inyour head the bad points are that her hair seems to have choped her arm flat witch it wouldnt do and her arm seems to go in a diffrent direction than the elbow sergests

underwater Research 2

this is the kind of envirment i wont to make so that there is light but not to much light in the picture just enuth to show the middle and darken the edges to make your focus derectly in the center of the frame. I like this peice becouse of its use of green sutly in it and the light comeing down from above makes you think that you are being looked at by surch lights the bad parts are the face there is to much light and it steels the focus from other things like the rocks i wont my image to be looked at with viglent eyes and told what is there and that they would have looked at it in detail to no what is in there to the slights falut

underwater Research 1

this image shows the mood of the picture that i wont to show it is a kind of gothic serealisum i will use 3d modling and sculpting programes to make a 3d enviment for my peice witch will have a sereal feal to it but wont be the mane focus of the picture.

this is a good image becouse it has been made for the western eye becouse the light comes and draws you line of sight across from the left to the right and this also gives it mistory the problems with this piece is that the contrast is to low there arnt that meny places of refection in it this lets the peice down becouse it is serposed to be underwater and there would be more slim there and more glising objects

Research on artists Jerry N Uelsmann

Jerry N Uelsmann is a photo manipulator so he uses a dark room to make 2 or more images to make a surreal image that makes you think about how it is made and how many photos are actually in the final image and what he has done to them to make them that way this man has been doing this since 1950 came out he is inspiring the way i wont my images to come out because I would like to have a message in what I do but I would like the person looking at my work to stop and think of what it is and how it was made but sadly he is now dead.

research on artists Bert Monroy

This man works in photorealism but he calls it hyperrealism and he paints his image and then moves it in to Photoshop but now he sometimes paints in Photoshop with the bristle brush he was also a alpha tester for Photoshop to develop this technology with them for the artists.
This man also doesn’t try to be inspired he waits in till he is inspired by what he sees in his life and he makes pieces that really convey the picture of realism the way that he makes them have a sense of depth with is normally only achieved in photographs. He also is motivated by the challenge of making it seem real and this is why I like him the method he chooses I wouldn’t do but I admire the final outcome because of the realisms portrayed in his work

research on artists George Grie

George gire is a neo surist and his work has been influenced by famous surrealists such as Rene Magritte and Salvador dali and fantasic realists such as Zdzslaw Beksinski and Wojciech Siudmak and surreal photo manipulation artist Jerry Uelsmann.
His work is neo-surrealist it is a comination of calssic surrealist and modern fantasy gothic and visionart art.
He became a professional mulitmedia grapics artist and joined ibm corporation as a lead new-media specialist. Today, his prime interest is in contemporary 2D and 3D digtal art softwere.

research on artists Dylan Cole

Dylan cole
This man makes 2d mat paintings into 3d worlds so that is cheeper  for  the films to by his work becouse of the time it takes and the ease of makeing it is a eficent way to make 3d envirments out of 2d mat paintings. He uses only 3 programes photoshop to make the images then he uses cinima 4d for composing the image in to a scene to make the envirment and then uses after efects to add the fotege in to to the peice to give it a 3d feal.
I like this mans work becouse it is inspiring and it is amsing to look at and it bolws your mind in the way that it looks becouse you would think that it is a 3d image but it is really 2d images working ing z space to make a 3d invirment. His peices have and a amasing depth and makes you wont to look at more becouse it draws you in and you look at things in a diffrent way

underwater scene

i used the pen tool and the path settings to to cut out the shark and then blur the edges to blend it in then i used to doge and burn tool so i cool match the shadows on the shark with the shadows and the picture i then took the curves tool to change the tone of the pitcure i then used the liqufiy tool to worp the deges of the image to make it seem more real

underwater scene

we also made added a noise effect to add a reflection in the scene to look like little things in the picture this also added realism this was done in a new agustment layer so it could be easly edited later and is not efecting it in a way i chant change.

underwater scene

i also used the glass effect tool to make a ripple effect on the top of the water to add realism to the piece I also used the gradient tool so that we look like we are in the sea

underwater scene

in this exercise we made a under water scene witch has different elements in it we used levels to pigment the sand blue to little rocks blue

experimentation

the final product this was a good exercize in the basics of photosop were i whent over the skills of masking and hue and saturation to make a nice end product

experimentation

in this step we used a mask to mask of the area that we wonted to work on i also used the opacity of the brush so i would select and have less efect on the image

experimentation

we made a custom brush by changing the skater and the jitter and spaceing to make a orignal image to make the trail of the orb then I changed the opacity so it blended in with the orb itself.

investigation/ expermentaion

to make this i used a lense flair and then used smugde tool with difrent brush sizes and 0% hardness to make a soft edge for the orb effect with websafe colours. we did shourtcuts as well inculiding alt del to fill a area and b for the brush and ctrl z to undo and ctrl alt z to step back step. we used the layers palit so you can safe editing on your work and the history plait.
